May 24, 2022Inspiron 5502 – low volume with intel smart digital array microphone Since I upgraded to Windows 11, having problems with low microphone volume using the intel smart digital array microphone. I am confirmed to be on the latest dell drivers (Intel – 10.29..6040 from 7/7/2021 and Realtek High Definition Audio Driver – 6.0.9313.1 from 4/14/2022).

If that doesn’t work, then try reconnecting all the peripherals, this will work if you have an external microphone that is not working.

I’ve been on Windows 10 Pro for Workstations from the beginning, and was never ever offered Windows 11.

I’ve tried removing the Intel Smart Sound Technology ISST driver from dev mgr and rebooting but it installs the same version. It will work for a while and then repeat.
